What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

At Music West Los Angeles, the focus is on you. Regardless of age, I can help you achieve your musical goals, whether you want to perform for fun or become a professional musician. I specialize in the following areas: Piano, Solfege (Sight Reading), Technique, Theory, Rhythm, Ear Training, Improvisation, Memorization, Repertoire, Notation and Singing / Voice / Opera Lessons. All lessons are from the fundamentals to advanced techniques.

What ages do you teach?

I teach students of all ages, including adults. (Ages 4 through adults). Programs tailor-made for all needs. I customize my teaching methods to each student's learning style, needs, and talents.

At what age can my child start piano lessons?

Most children can start piano lessons as young as 4 or 5 years old, depending on their interest, and developmental readiness. However, for the voice - vocal lessons, ideal start age is 13 or 14 if the student appears to be physically well developed, because of the importance of total control of the air supply in order to avoid train voice.

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?

I will create a personalized syllabus for you, based on your musical goals and current level. I have sheet music, and books, appropriate for all levels to be used in our lessons until I assign the student the books they should buy. Till then, just bring your passion for music and eagerness to learn. You will be trained on a quality baby grand piano.

Piano or keyboard?

A piano is ideal, but a keyboard is a great option for a beginner. If you go this route, you should get a keyboard that has at least 5 octaves, has full-sized keys, and with weighted keys (similar to that of a real piano).
